Privacy policy

1. Who we are

This policy covers the ArcaniX - Daily Tarot Reading Android app (package com.arcanix.dailytarot) and this ArcaniX website. The app is provided by Arcanix Developer, referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our.”

2. Information we handle

App identifier and preferences

The app generates a random installation identifier. We use it to associate your readings, settings and premium access with your installation. It is also used as a customer identifier with our subscription provider. You do not need to create an ArcaniX email-and-password account to use the current app.

Preferences include your deck selection, reading-description settings, date/time format and the date of your daily reading.

Readings and notes

We store drawn cards, card meanings, reading type, deck, dates and times, draw-source information, and any notes you choose to add. The app sends this information to our backend to save and synchronize your history.

Purchases and premium access

If you make a purchase, Google Play processes the payment. Google Play and RevenueCat handle transaction or purchase-token information, product identifiers, purchase dates, subscription status and related identifiers so that we can verify and restore your access. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Advertising and technical information

The app includes Google AdMob for rewarded advertising. Its SDK can collect IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, advertising or app-set identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostics. Google uses this data to deliver and measure ads, analyze performance and help prevent fraud. Collection depends on SDK configuration and applicable choices. The app also sends reward-result information to our backend when verifying access after an ad.

Services receiving app requests can process connection information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, device or software information and error logs for operation and security. ArcaniX does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone or precise GPS location.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the content or attachments you choose to send. Please do not send passwords or full payment details.

3. How information is used

• Provide card draws, display readings, save notes and synchronize preferences.
• Apply daily-reading limits and verify premium access or ad-related access.
• Process subscription status, restore eligible purchases and resolve billing issues.
• Deliver and measure advertising, maintain the service, diagnose errors and prevent misuse.
• Answer support messages and handle privacy requests or legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and securing it, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required, including for relevant advertising uses. You can contact us to ask about the basis for a particular use or to withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

4. Service providers and sharing

We use the following services to operate ArcaniX:

• Supabase: hosts app data and backend functions for readings, notes, settings and access checks. Supabase privacy policy.
• RevenueCat: manages subscription information and premium access. RevenueCat privacy policy.
• Google Play and Google AdMob: handle Android purchases and advertising. Google privacy policy.
• Website hosting and security providers: process website requests and security information as described below.

Our backend may request random numbers from qrandom.io to select a card. That request sends the required number range; it does not include your installation identifier or notes.

Reading history and notes are sent to our storage service, not included in the app’s requests to AdMob or RevenueCat. Advertising providers separately process the information their SDKs collect.

We may also disclose information when legally required or when necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse or respond to valid legal requests. Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy notices describe their international processing arrangements. Contact us if you need details about transfers involving your information.

5. Storage, retention and security

Reading history and preferences are stored on your device and in our cloud database. The app keeps up to 120 recent history entries locally; that limit does not automatically delete older server records.

Synced readings, notes and settings currently have no automatic expiry. They remain stored until removed through a verified deletion request or service maintenance. Uninstalling the app does not itself delete cloud records. Device backups or transfers may also contain app data depending on your Android settings.

We retain purchase, support and security records for as long as needed for the relevant purpose, such as maintaining subscription access, resolving an issue, preventing fraud or meeting legal obligations. Some records may need to be retained after a deletion request for these reasons. Provider logs and backups can remain until they expire under the provider’s retention arrangements; deleting active app records does not necessarily erase every backup immediately.

App connections to our configured services use HTTPS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Contact us if you believe your information has been accessed improperly.

6. Your choices and deletion requests

You can choose whether to add notes and can edit them in the app. Android settings let you manage app storage, device backups and your advertising identifier. Clearing storage can remove your local app data and installation identifier, but does not automatically remove cloud data or cancel a subscription.

A verified request can cover cloud reading history, notes, preferences and associated app identifiers. We will explain if certain transaction, security or legally required records must be retained. Requests are handled within the time required by applicable law.

Deleting app data does not cancel Google Play billing. Manage or cancel an active subscription separately in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority. Email us to exercise these rights.

7. This website

This website provides information about ArcaniX and links for contacting us. Its pages do not contain advertising, newsletter forms or analytics scripts added by us, and do not set app-specific cookies or local-storage identifiers.

The hosting and security services delivering the website may process your IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time, and use necessary cookies for access or security. A private preview may require the hosting platform’s sign-in. The public website does not require an ArcaniX account.

Hosting may involve OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Their handling of platform and request data is described in the OpenAI privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

8. Children’s information

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through ArcaniX, please contact us. We will investigate and address the request, including deleting information where required.

9. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for a material change.
